ART CLUB is a fun, free and friendly place to learn new creative skills!
These monthly workshops are for 13-17 year-olds who might be:
- feeling lonely
- having a hard time at school
- struggling with their mental health
At ART CLUB we want to help. Making art and expressing yourself is a great way to become more confident. Evidence shows that art can reduce depression and anxiety. Being creative with other people is a brilliant way to make new friends.
HOW DOES IT WORK
ART CLUB will meet once a month at City Arts in Hockley. It will be a small and supportive group. We will encourage each other to share our ideas and passions.
We will work on cool creative projects, which we will come up with together. Or you can use our art materials to work on your own projects.
You don’t need to have any previous experience of making art to take part. You don’t have to attend every workshop, but we do need to know in advance if you are coming.
Club members will be able to work towards an Arts Award qualification. Arts Award are a fantastic way to show what you’ve learned and how you are developing as an artist.
