An exhibition of puppets by Alison Duddle, part of Nottingham Puppet Festival.

Alison’s work encompasses puppet and mask design and making for street and indoor theatre, parades, film and TV. For many years joint Artistic Director at Horse + Bamboo Theatre, she now has her own company, Bird in the Hand Theatre.

The puppets in this exhibition at City Arts include some of her favourite puppets from performance as well as newer works.

About the artist

Alison Duddle is the artistic director of A Bird in the Hand Theatre, a puppet and mask theatre company based in West Yorkshire. They make beautiful, quirky shows, installations and walkabouts for outdoor and theatre audiences.

The company was formed in 2017 by artist and director Alison Duddle and performer Mark Whitaker. Alison is a puppet and mask maker and director, and was previously joint Artistic Director of Horse + Bamboo Theatre.
