A vintage-style map of a portion of Carlton, featuring various roads such as Addison Road, Mayfield Road, and Standhill Road. The large text “CARLTON” is prominently displayed across the map, slightly obscuring some street names.

Join us for a gentle walk where we’ll explore Carlton’s heritage, part of Calton Art Week. The walk is led by Sam Culshaw-Robinson from The Art of Nature Wellbeing Walks.

Setting off from the Carlton Community Hub, the walk will last between 30 and 60mins. It will take in several of Carlton’s heritage sites. It is a chance to learn something new about the area whilst socialising.

A multi-story brick building with distinctive Tudor-style architecture, characterized by black-and-white half-timbering on the upper floors. The building features arched windows, a tower-like structure on the right side, and multiple gabled roofs.

If you take part, we will provide a voucher for a hot drink and a cake which you can enjoy at the Carlton Art Show, at the Carlton Hub, on the afternoon of 26 October.

Please wear suitable clothes for the day’s weather. If the weather is really bad, we reserve the right to cancel the walk at short notice.

Who can attend?

The walk is for adults aged 18+. Whilst the walk is gentle, we can’t guarantee there will be benches for you to take a rest.

If you have concerns about your mobility or your health, please contact Alma at City Arts and we will talk through how we can support you to take part. Alma’s email address is alma@city-arts.org.uk.
