Refugee Roots Art Club Drop In

Date of event: 19 Jun 2025 Event start time: 10:30am - Event end time: 12:30pm

Venue Address: City Arts, 11-13 Hockley, Nottingham, NG1 1FH

Three men sit together at a table, sharing a meal and drinks. The man in the middle gives a thumbs-up and smiles at the camera, while the man on the left smiles broadly and the man on the right is focused on his food. Bowls, mugs, and crafting supplies are visible on the table in front of them.

The Refugee Roots Art Club have been meeting at City Arts to collaborate with artist Márcia Porto. Together they are working on an exhibition, which will be displayed in the Window Gallery at City Arts.

A diverse group of people sit around a large table filled with art supplies, smiling and engaged in a community art workshop. The whiteboard behind them is decorated with writing and the phrase 'MAKE IT YOURS' is displayed above. The atmosphere is creative and welcoming.
Refugee Roots Art Group

As part of Nottingham Refugee Week 2025, the group and artist are inviting you to drop in to City Arts during one of their workshops. Join them any time between 10:30am and 12:30pm. Check out the exhibition, share a cup of tea with the participants and take part in a conversation about life and creativity. You’ll also have the chance to make some art of your own.

All ages welcome.
