All profits from room hire and our bar go towards our work inspiring creativity amongst the communities of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Our building is fully licensed for arts activities and entertainment from 10am to 11pm. We can extend this with a Temporary Events Licence for an additional fee.
For events: City Arts has a well-stocked bar offering a range of alcoholic, soft and hot drinks. It is licenced until 10:30pm. We accept cash and card payments. If you want alcohol sold at your event, all attendees must be over the age of 18.
For meetings and workshops: We can provide tea, coffee and biscuits at a cost of £3 per head.
Our ground floor space has level, on-street access. Hire of the space includes access to an art garden at the rear of the building.
The space has two gender neutral toilets, one of which is fully accessible. Find our more about venue access here.
We have a Safer Spaces Policy which explains how we expect event attendees and organisers to behave.

Primarily, we offer use of our space to artists, cultural organisations, social societies, charities, music promoters and other community groups. We charge a higher fee for corporate and business use.

The per hour rate is for meetings and workshops. For ticketed events where the full ticket price is £10 or higher, we will retain 15% of ticket income to support the charitable work of City Arts.
The hire rate for evening events includes technical support and bar staff, if required. Please note that we have a HD projector that can be used for live events.

If your event is in line with our mission of helping everyone experience art and creative self-expression, we are happy to include it in City Arts marketing and publicity. If you wish, your event can be listed on our website and promoted through our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. If there is space, it can also be included in our printed programme and we can display any posters and flyers you provide us with. At no extra cost, we can also handle ticket sales through our Eventbrite account.
