The City Arts team are delighted to have received a generous donation from The Park Garden Trail.  Held on 9th June, the hugely successful day raised over £13,000 which was distributed to 15 local charities.  This was the 21st Park Open Garden Trail, giving people the chance to visit 21 open gardens and green spaces in the beautiful Nottingham Park Estate.

We are very grateful to have been nominated to receive this donation by our new Board member Saira Lloyd.  A cheque for £850 was presented to Board member Andrea Carver at a reception on 7th July.

City Arts would like to thank the Garden Trail committee, and everyone else involved in the event, for a wonderful day and their generous donation.  We will be using the money to support communities and vulnerable people in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire by using arts activities to build confidence & skills and improve wellbeing.

Since 1986 this brilliant event has raised over £90,000 for charity, with an emphasis on helping small, local charities and not-for-profit organisations.  Every cream tea, garden plant or glass of fizz sold gives a little help to local charitable work.
