A free puppet show and workshop for ages 6+.
Get ready for a funny, lively puppet show packed with music, storytelling and brilliant characters. Meet Anansi the spider in a story inspired by traditional West African tales.
When darkness falls across the land, the animals must work to bring back the light. But who will succeed? The powerful eagle? The clever monkey? Or Anansi the spider and his friends?

After the show, stay for a hands-on workshop led by an artist. Create your own puppet and try bringing it to life. You can take your puppet home and keep the story going.
“I enjoyed it so much I didn’t want it to end.” – Audience feedback
Anansi and the Lost Sun is presented by Swallow’s Wings Puppetry. It is brought to you by Open Doors & City Arts (Nottingham).
