We’ve reached 13% of our carnival crowd-funding campaign.  We need your support to raise £2000 and make this year’s carnival troupe our biggest, brightest and best yet.  In return for your donation you will receive a special gift to thank you for your role in putting the City Arts troupe on the road.

If you’d prefer to donate directly to City Arts, you can send money or a check directly to our postal address and we will put it towards the crowd-funding campaign.

The Nottingham Caribbean Carnival is an annual highlight for City Arts. We enjoy extending an invitation to young people, adults, artists and musicians to come up with new ideas and themes that can get our troupe dancing through the streets. With the money you donate to our crowd-funding campaign you will help us to develop a number of brilliant new elements for our carnival celebrations. We will work with street theatre artists, graffiti artists and start an exciting new partnership with the London School of Samba.

We work with children, young people and adults, bringing them together with dancers, carnival designers, musicians and street performers.  This year, your support will help us to work with young people from the Gedling area of Nottingham.

Every year we choose a theme to inspire us, both for costume and music. This year our theme is inspired by the worlds oceans and by the need to recycle and reuse. We aim to create most of our carnival costumes from recycled materials.  The money you donate will allow us to develop three exciting new elements for our carnival troupe.
