City Arts have teamed up with Framework’s Nature in Mind service and artist Chris Lewis-Jones to create a new temporary public artwork in Nottingham Railway Station’s A Case for the Arts. The installation, titled ‘with nature in mind’, explores the ways in which an active and creative engagement with the natural world enhances our sense of well-being.

Over  8-weeks, Chris worked with a group of particpants signed up to Nature in Mind to devise and develop the stunning artwork. The group visited local green spaces to gather inspiration and reseach the piece.

About Nature in Mind

Nature In Mind is a FREE Framework service for adults in Nottingham which draws on the unique capacity of nature to restore and improve mental and physical health. The service provides varied opportunities and activities related to nature in small, supportive groups. You can apply to Nature in Mind if you live in Nottingham, are over 18 and have a mental health problem such as depression or anxiety, and would find it difficult to access nature without support. For more info contact Nature in Mind at natureinmind@frameworkha.org or on 0115 970 9591.

The exhibition runs from Tuesday 22nd November to Wednesday 14th December. It is installed in The Case for The Arts on Nottingham Railway Station forecourt, NG2 3AQ.
