Very exciting news! City Arts are moving to Hockley…

For 37 years City Arts has been based in Radford & Hyson Green, working with communities in Nottingham & Nottinghamshire, producing great art that changes lives.

Now we’re moving to Hockley, the Creative Quarter, and our work will reach more people than ever before.

The organisation’s new home is 11-13 Hockley, Nottingham NG1 1FH. It will give us a dedicated space for our many different areas of work.

The building will house offices for the team. It will provide a space for artists to meet, collaborate and work from. The ground floor will be flexible: hosting workshops, exhibitions and performances.

The premises, previously Millennium Music, has a large windowed shop front. Throughout the year we will use this window to showcase our favorite work. You’ll see puppets, paintings, video, carnival costumes, art by older people, art by younger people, maybe even some of your own work. Stop by to find out what we’re up to.

The building is being renovated by Rob Howie Smith. It is part of his ongoing project to regenerate Nottingham by re-appropriating derelict buildings for the use of creative people and cultural organisations.
