Many congratulations to our volunteer Meredith Dickin, who last week was honoured at the Gedling Community and Voluntary Services’ Pam Clipsham Volunteering Awards.

Meredith received the Young Volunteer of the Year Award for her incredible work on our Express Yourself project. It was presented by the Mayor of Gedling in a ceremony held in the Gedling Borough Civic Centre at Arnot Hill Park.

Volunteer Awards

Through our Express Yourself programme, City Arts runs creative workshops that help build the confidence and raise the self-esteem of young people from the Gedling area of Nottinghamshire. Meredith, who is currently studying Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University, spoke to the Nottingham Post about her volunteer work and receiving the award:

“It’s my favourite thing to do,  I normally just feel great to see how the programme changes the attitudes or confidence of these young people but this is a really nice extra.”

Everyone at City Arts would like to thank Meredith for her dedication and hard work.
