An evening of surprise and delight from the creative imaginations of the City Arts Puppet Club and RESIDENCE bursary recipient Izzy Hollis.

As well as live puppetry performances and film showcases, in the interval you’ll get the chance to meet some special puppets and speak to their creators.

Theatre maker Izzy Hollis reacts in horror to a neuron on her shoulder

Izzy presents a show exploring her experience of living with Tourettes. Designed to inform as well as entertain, this brand-new piece of puppet theatre tells a relatable story of life with a tic disorder.

City Arts has supported Izzy to develop the show. She received a bursary as part of our RESIDENCE project.  

What Happened to You by Nikki Charlesworth

A stop-motion animation created during lockdown. Nikki’s orthotics and walking stick come to life to recreate uncomfortable public reactions to disability.
