Audience Feedback
During the show you’ll have the opportunity to become part of the action. It is followed by a fun puppet making workshop led by artists Bryony and Ione. You’ll have the chance to create and animate your own puppet character, which you can use to continue the fun at home.

How it works
Book a free ticket for each child and adult attending. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please try to arrive 10 mins before the show so we can start on time. You will be sent a reminder ahead of the day of the show.
About Indigo Moon Theatre
Indigo Moon Theatre was created in 1999 by artist and puppeteer Anna Ingleby to showcase the magical world of shadow and puppet theatre. They have done hundreds of performances to thousands of audience members. They have worked with TV & Film productions including Peaky Blinders and Kenneth Branagh’s A Haunting in Venice. The company have also worked as shadow theatre consultants for the pop band Take That.
About Bryony and Ione
Nottingham based artists Bryony McCombie Smith and Ione Vaughan are both designers and makers of puppets. They have a particular interest in shadow puppetry. Bryony recently spent three months training with the Curious School of Puppetry in London, where she specialised in shadow work. Ione is a freelance producer and artist, who makes her own shows as well as supporting others to create and tour their work.
About Open Doors
Open Doors is a programme of arts activity that is part of the heritage and culture offer in Newark and Sherwood. In 2023, they were awarded funding from Arts Council England to become a National Portfolio Organisation. Their three-year programme increases creative opportunities for young people and underserved groups, and helps them support the needs and interests of communities.
