Join us for a playful show where puppets, objects and live music turn a wheelbarrow into a world.
Meet Olive, a park-keeper on a mission to tidy up, and Teaspoon, a mischievous bird made from discarded materials.
As Olive works in her park, she has surprising encounters with wildlife and visitors. Everyday objects turn into creatures, tools and strange new forms.
After the show, stay for a hands-on workshop. Create your own puppet and try bringing it to life. You can take your puppet home and keep the story going.
Tales from the Wheelbarrow is presented by Wayward Objects as part of Nottingham Puppet Festival.
How it works
Book a free ticket for each child and adult attending. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time so we can begin promptly. The show lasts around 35 minutes, followed by a creative workshop.
About the artists
Wayward Objects, led by artist by Michelle Reader, create playful performances using handmade puppets, found materials and inventive design. Their work transforms everyday objects into surprising characters and stories.
This show is a collaboration with musician and puppeteer Steno Vitale.
