After the huge success of Night of Festivals in Nottingham, Boston is preparing to host the next leg of the ArtReach event’s tour.  Supported by the Arts Council’s Strategic Touring Fund, on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October Night of Festivals will excite and entertain a whole new audience in the Lincolnshire town.

The festival will feature a range of diverse live performances in the City Arts Dome, a textile installation from artist Alinah Azadeh, family friendly stories in the Storytelling Yurt, experimental film in the ArtReach Nanoplex, Mandinga carnival parades and performances by Paraiso Samba.  There will be action throughout the day between Boston Market Place and Central Park.

City Arts continues to be at the heart of this brilliant festival.  Alison Denholm, our Creative Programmes Officer, has been working closely with Transported, ArtReach’s creative partner in Boston, recruiting and training volunteers to bring the carnival to life.

Next year the festival’s tour continues, visiting Slough and Leicester.

If you missed Night of Festivals in Nottingham, and you can make it to Boston, it’ll be worth the trip.
