Young people enrolled on our Express Yourself programme worked with artists Nathan Bainbridge (Kid30) and Graham Elstone to create this fantastic interactive graffiti installation.

In workshops held at Arnot Hill Park and City Arts the group explored different styles of graffiti, drawing inspiration from a visit to the The Breakin’ Convention at Nottingham’s Royal Centre. For their stunning final piece they looked to their own doodles, using projectors to blow them up into the striking panels in our window. Gently touching the illustrated circles to triggers an array of different sounds.

Interactive Exhibition

City Arts has built Express Yourself on years of experience working with young people. Developed with the involvement off young people, the programme offers its participants a safe, creative environment in which to learn new skills and build their confidence.

Express Yourself is supported by Children in Need and Boots Charitable Trust. This exhibition is part of the Street Art Festival and runs until the 28th July 2016.
