City Arts, in association with 6 arts organisations from across 4 counties, were delighted to contribute to the online broadcast ‘Our Place’ – a showcase of the people and places of the East Midlands through the arts.

Led by Junction Arts, ‘Our Place’ commissioned 7 artist residencies in 7 communities across the region to co-create new work that is representative of ‘place’. The broadcast, directed by filmmaker Chris Bevan, brings all the unique artworks together, in a celebratory event where you can see what ‘Our Place’ means to individuals, communities and places.

For City Arts’ contribution to the broadcast, our Young Producers worked with filmmakers Luke Radford and Toby Curson. They’ve created a series of short films that capture Nottingham’s creative and rebellious spirit. The films covering topics including photographing urban nature, people’s assumptions about disability and Post Punk Art House duo Arch Femmesis.
