Express Yourself‘ helps tackle issues around young people’s well-being using art-forms including photography, sculpture and film making. It is a platform designed to inspire young people, build confidence and teach them new skills. In a safe and creative environment programme participants have a chance to gain accreditation, Young People’s Arts Awards, giving them more opportunities for further education or employment.

At the heart of the programme are the young people taking part; there have been some amazing achievements in the past 5 years, all supported by City Arts and the brilliant artists we work with.

Wander around Gedling and you’ll discover fantastic murals in the Shokk Gym at Carlton Forum, brightly coloured birds in the atrium of Gedling Borough’s Civic Centre, sculptural seating in Arnot Hill Park and much more; all products of our young participants’ tremendous creativity.

We would love it if you could join us at the celebration.

If you wish to attend, please contact Alma Cunliffe on 0115 9782463 or via email alma@city-arts.org.uk by 20th January.
